Kakatu Retreat Accessible Accommodation is in the scenic Ocean Ridge subdivision in Kaikoura. It offers stunning views of the Kaikoura Seaward mountain range and the Kaikoura 18-hole golf course. The retreat is located in a semi-rural area near the Pacific Ocean.
Kakatu Retreat has five wheelchair-friendly bedrooms, each with a wet-floor bathroom, an open shower, an over-height toilet, and grab rails. The rooms are designed to cater to guests with special requirements, and luxury electric adjustable beds with memory foam mattresses are provided in some rooms.
The house has flat entranceways, wide halls, a lift between floors, and wide decks with outdoor tables and chairs. These features make the retreat suitable for all guests, not just those with special requirements.
